Nine Must-Do Events for April
There's no shortage of events coming up in April 2017 in Wichita Falls. In addition to amazing recurring events like hockey, indoor football or theatre, we've also got some pretty spectacular annual or one-off events. Here's a list of what we're looking forward to most and why.
Head to Akin Auditorium at Midwestern State for this new series from the Wichita Falls Ballet Theatre. Minimal sets and costumes will help to showcase music and movement. The performance will feature music by pianists Dr. Martin Camacho and Dr. Ruth Marrow.
The After Hours Art Walk is a monthly celebration of art in Downtown Wichita Falls. Take a relaxing stroll and explore art studios, galleries, restaurants and shops! You can also head down to Sculpture Garden After Dark at the Kemp Center for the Arts! This will be the first After Hours Art Walk of the year!

Your excuse to play in the mud as an adult. During this run, you'll face the 18 challenging obstacles that await you, including several new surprises this year! All proceeds benefit Wichita Falls Streams & Valleys and Leadership Wichita Falls
Nothing says Texas like a trip to the rodeo! Wichita Falls PRCA Rodeo will be two nights at the J.S. Bridwell Ag Center. Events will include barrel racing, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, calf roping, and bull riding.
A fun, free public event for the community to celebrate the past and future of the Museum of Art at MSU, in partnership with the Junior League of Wichita Falls. Spring Fever will feature live music, dunking booths, art demonstrations and more! Don't miss the unveiling of the Spring Fling Remembered exhibit inside the museum!
The Iron Horse Pub, one of the top 10 music venues in the state of Texas, is expanding its reach, teaming up with the Arts Council to bring MORE music to Wichita Falls! Expect this to be the first of many amazing shows at The Forum or Kemp Center, sponsored by The Iron Horse Pub.
For adults only, the Backdoor Theatre's improv events sell out EVERY TIME so get your tickets early. Every show is different, hilarious and so much fun. 21+, BYOB.
The Market is a bi-annual event held in the 9th Street Studios in downtown Wichita Falls. Shoppers can find one of a kind, handcrafted goods from local artists, artisans, makers and creators.
